Your guide to the perfect accessories during fall/winter

We all know the importance of being warm and cosy during these winter months, but we also want to look good too. Accessorising is a way to elevate these cosy outfits, or pull out an extravagant look for the holiday season. Whether it’s the office Christmas party or just a walk in the park we have some accessorising tips for you.

Now, we know this one is obvious, but it’s one of the best ways to elevate an outfit. Adding layers gives you the option of spicing up an otherwise one dimensional look. It can add some much-needed texture or colour to your outfits. When it comes to layering, there are so many options, which makes it so great. You can wear one staple piece in so many different ways. Some staples for layering are tights, socks and turtlenecks, all allowing for both more warmth and more detail in your fit!

Gloves and scarves.

Now for this one, we have two key options. Do you want to be warm and cosy or make a statement? Both work amazingly during the chilly season. Your warm options are thick knits, maybe a cashmere set of gloves or a huge blanket scarf. But if you want to make a statement, maybe opt for mesh gloves or a silk scarf. Both adding lovely details to your outfit. Gloves and scarves are perfect for adding accent colours or prints to your outfit too.

Hats are perfect for so many occasions. You could go with anything from beanies to bucket hats, and along with keeping you snug, they can again add that pop of colour or little bit of detail your outfit needs. And let’s not forget, they’re perfect for bad hair days, just hide it under a beanie!

Hosiery is ideal for layering, and adding warmth. Under layers can be crucial when it’s really freezing outside, even if you can’t see them! But if you do want your hosiery to make a statement, you could opt for a bolder colour or a monogram print to spice things up. This option is particularly great for party season when you want to style that little black dress for NYE! We also recommend styling them with a pair of sturdy boots (super in trend for the autumn winter 2021 season).
